American Bujutsu Kenpo
American Bujutsu Kempo, created by Grandmaster R.J. Oak, is an American
martial art based upon the best techniques of Combat Kempo, Jujitsu,
Aikijitsu, Arnis, Grappling, Kobujitsu, and Combative Kickboxing. The
United States Martial Arts Association or U.S.M.A first recognized it
as a Martial Art in April of 1998. The main focus is on Combat self-defense,
emphasizing drills and techniques instead of katas and forms.
American Bujutsu Kempo methods include blocking, striking, kicking,
throws, takedowns, chokes, joint locks, nerve strikes, ground fighting
and weapons. American Bujutsu Kempo (A.B.K.) is a traditional system
where uniforms and colored belts are worn and promotion to black belt
rank requires through knowledge of block and counters, Jujitsu, Aiki-jitsu,
Arnis and weaponry.
